In 2005, the production of the Veyron started. Bugatti went back to its roots, by producing the car at Molsheim in France, the same place Ettore Bugatti started producing his first car.
The Veyron was extremely quick and could accelerate to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds. It could reach a top speed of 254 mph, making it the fastest car in the world. It won some awards including “Car of the Decade” by Top Gear.
In 2008 came the premier of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. It was a supercar with removable Targa roof. A total of 150 units were made. The first unit was sold for 3.2 million dollars.
One year later Bugatti released four special Centenaire models of the Veyron. These were launched to celebrate Bugatti’s 100th anniversary. There colors were few different colors like blue for France, red for Italy, green for Great Britain and white for Germany.
